| Description: | I was conducting a 1st Amendment Audit at the City Hall in Aurora, Illinois. At first everything was going well, but then some public servants became triggered by a citizen exercising their right to hold our government accountable and promote transparency. Unfortunately the Aurora Police were called unnecessarily. Five Aurora Police Officers arrived for a citizen with a camera, they tried to stay, in my opinion, in an attempt to “babysit” me until I left in an attempt to enforce feelings. I made it clear it was a waste of resources. Eventually they left without further incident. All public servants were properly educated and I had a great conversation with some of the law enforcement on scene which I hope helped bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community they serve. ______________________________________________________________________________ If you feel the need to redress your grievances to your government regarding this incident I will leave contact information below.
