We had State Troopers called on us at a BMV (Bureau of Motor Vehicles) in Columbus, OH. and the police were called on us at a BMV in Gahanna, OH. After trying repeatedly to speak with SOMEONE on the phone in higher management over these Deputy Registrars in Ohio who think the First Amendment doesn’t apply in their PUBLIC offices that serve the PUBLIC with Bureau of Motor Vehicle services, we decided to go to the main headquarters of the Ohio Department of Public Safety in Columbus and get some answers. The police officer at the front desk that greeted us seemed afraid of a camera and immediately called for backup less than 2 minutes after our arrival. Will his back ups jump into action and violate the rights of a citizen simply taking photos and video in the main foyer of a public building or will they uphold their oath to SUPPORT the Constitution and our rights to take photos and video in public and publicly accessible places?
