| Description: | INTERROGATION by AMERY, WI Police Chief On May 11th, 2023, Police Chief Steve Hainzl interrogated his employee, Bethany Eskro, for taking a photograph of the publicly posted Amery City Council Agenda and texting it to friends. This was a clear violation of her rights. The Chief then proceeded to investigate who had criticized him and the local government on Facebook, violating the citizens' first amendment rights. This police chief has faced no repercussions for his actions. Eskro has returned to her station under his direct supervision with no protections in place.
