| Description: | On this day I conducted a 1st amendment audit in LaSalle, Illinois city hall/PD. Part of my mission was to inquire further about a little free pantry and to conduct my business at the PD. Unfortunately, the Mayor was nowhere to be found and the entire PD locks up when their backbone (McKenzie) is on vacation. I did however encounter Sgt Brian Zebron, we had a conversation about the importance and need for a little free pantry in addition to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry in LaSalle, as these boxes are generally heavily used when made available. Sgt Zebron treated me with decency and respect and made an attempt at the 1st amendment pop quiz. I do believe by the time we parted ways he understood further that the pop quiz aspect is not to make anyone appear foolish, but to get our officers wheels turning and essentially show a lighter side. As always, my goal is to promote transparency, accountability and to assist in bridging the gap between our government and the people they serve. Job well done Sgt Zebron! The elements of the first amendment: Speech, Religion, Press, Redress of grievances, Assemble. I will use this description to remind everyone that Rob Uranich, former chief of police and current LaSalle County Court Security, is nothing greater than an armed thug, who consistently bullies the people and made an attempt to hide cash exchanges between myself and him, it's easy to skim off the top when you refuse to provide receipts when demanded. |
